Above we turned this neglected garage into a fully functional game room for just $700. By spending a weekend hunting for local Facebook Marketplace deals, we scored both a pool table and a ping-pong table to anchor the space.
Below, you can see how we converted a rusted, eyesore of a clothesline into a fire pit that has become the #1 guest favorite. To pull the whole look together, we painted the exterior in a palette inspired by National Park lodges and added classic Adirondack chairs—one of the most cost-effective ways to level up an outdoor area. The best part? The rocks for the fire pit were sourced for free right from the property.
Pro-Tip: In the "After" photo, I used AI to place people in the chairs. It’s a simple way to help potential guests visualize the experience and feel the "vibe" of the space before they even book.
